Women are not born warriors—they become them. Many women struggle to meet the demands of their work and their families, while also prioritizing their health and well-being in the process. Women aretaking care of the household, the kids, their spouse while working in corporate America trying to move up the corporate ladder. Many seem to be living the “superwomen” life with the illusion of “having it all,” but many are also suffering in silence from anxiety and depression as they try to silence to strike a work/life balance. Women have always had “do it all” in taking care of everyone but never herself. Its time for the Women of the family to take a break from everything and take care of herself. This means put the career on hold for just a minute and that means a weekend or a week to get a break, let the partner or husband take care of the kids and ladies its time you take care of yourself.
Here are three things you can do in taking care of yourself :
Let it go- I know this will be hard but you must let it go in order to take care of yourself. Its time to not think about the job, the house chores and the family business and think about yourself. If you need totake a walk in the park every weekend, or pamper yourself with a spa day which includes a massage and facial or if you need to do something fun with your girlfriends then do it. Everyone needs a break and a time to relax to rejuvenate.
Have some fun- Fun can be described in all different ways but I’m talking about good ole’ fashion fun. Get out and go dancing and let loose. Music is good for your soul. When you need to let go of everything and not think about anything this is the perfect way to do it because you are exercising, moving to the beat while having a good time.
Exercise- I know it may sound like hard work but believe it or not exercising is good for the soul and your endorphins. When you exercise, you help your blood flow, which helps your mood. Exercising will make you feel better if you are in a bad mood. I know its hard to believe but its true. Its pumps the blood and gets you moving.
So, ladies its time for YOU and no one else so when you need a break make sure you take it because itsgood for the soul.
